Support for Flexcrypt
Free, Biz and Pro
Flexcrypt requires:
- A user that has administrative rights to the computer
- A local email program (using POP3, IMAP and SMTP) such as Thunderbird
or MS Outlook. Does not (yet) work with Web-mail or MS Exchange.
Before contacting Support, please try the following troubleshooting:
- Run Windows Update
- Install .net framework, 2.0 or later (free from Microsoft)
- Reinstall Flexcrypt, do not uninstall Flexcrypt first. Reinstall,
choose option 'Repair'
- Turn off 'TLS/SSL', a setting under Server connections in your email
client. (This option turns off encryption between your computer and
your email server, it is not neccessary since email is encrypted all
the way to the receiver).
- Reboot
- In Vista, choose 'Run as administrator' when launching Flexcrypt
from the desktop shortcut
- Turn off antivirus and firewalls and test Flexcrypt, if it works,
please let us know what application caused the problem by emailing
support@flexcrypt.com
- IMPORTANT: Turn on all anti-virus and firewall after completion
of (7)
- AVG users, ensure that values for POP3 and SMTP are same in Flexcrypt
as in AVG. Open AVG control center and go to Tools -> Advanced settings
-> E-Mail Scanner -> Servers. Check values for POP3 and SMTP and put
the same values to Flexcrypt. By default these values are SMTP 10025,
POP3 10110
We welcome suggestions regarding new features and improvements.
If you are experiencing difficulties, please email support@flexcrypt.com.
Describe your problem in as much detail as possible.
Good luck,
